The iPhone XS and XS Max will be available to buy soon.
This week Apple announced the latest incarnations of its iPhone: the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR.
The XS and XS Max will be available to buy as of Friday, 21 September, with the XR becoming available slightly later on 26 October.
However, despite the new phones boasting a range of new features such as new processors for faster performance and an overall improved display for better colour representation, users are being warned on social media that it’s only worth ordering news phones after downloading Apple’s iOS12 update.
This is because the software update is touted to bolster the speed and performance of existing iPhones, meaning it might not be all that worth the while to upgrade.
Apple claims the firmware upgrade will mean, for instance, that apps will launch up to 40% faster on the iPhone 6S and you’ll be able to open the camera up to 70% faster.
Obviously, the improvements to older phones are welcome and have lead to people on social media touting the benefits of hanging on to older models rather than shelling out for the new products.
I’ve been running ios12 for a few months, if you’ve already got an iPhone X none of the three new phones are worth the buy only with an a12 bionic chip being the main difference.
