The blog said that the feature is not available yet, but that when it is, it'll work this this:
"Using this option, WhatsApp will allow to post your status updates on Facebook, that contain images, videos, GIFs and text."
The update we have all been waiting for, guys.
Fortunately,WhatsApp Stories will not be automatically shared to Facebook (because that would be awful).
Rather, users will simply have the option to crosspost if that is, for some reason, something they would want to do.
Sure look, we'll see.
This comes after a significant breach led to up to millions of WhatsApp users' phones being hacked.
"We believe a select number of users were targeted through this vulnerability by an advanced cyber actor," said the company.
"This attack has all the hallmarks of a private company known to work with governments to deliver spyware that reportedly takes over the functions of mobile phone operating systems.
"We have briefed a number of human rights organisations to share the information we can, and to work with them to notify civil society."
