WhatsApp will stop working on these devices from today

WhatsApp

It’s used by millions of people across the globe.

But WhatsApp has confirmed that it will cease to operate on certain phones from today.

The platform became incompatible with the Nokia Symbian S60 phones last year – and it was soon announced the same would be happening to the Nokia S40 handsets this year.

While the operating system is said to have been phased out years ago, it has been installed on more than a million phones – so, it’s still going to be a bit of a pain for some people.

According to The Sun, a spokesperson for the messenger service said:

“This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.”
