A 360 degree infinity pool is opening on top of a skyscraper in London

Decent views, in fairness.

Everybody likes a good infinity pool.

They’re relaxing, they’re pretty, they’ve got some decent enough views off the edge where you can stare into oblivion and pretend like you’re not in a pool at all.

Decent enough shout for all involved.

The only thing that would make an infinity pool even more, well, infinite would be if it had 360 degree views… and was perched atop a skyscraper in the middle of London.

If the above happens to be your dream, your wish, you fantasy, you’re in luck because a few architects in the UK are planning just that.

Compass Pools are planning on installing the 360 degree pool on top of a luxury hotel in the middle of the city, where guests can swim up top, take a look around, and not be restricted by those blasted pool sides we all loath so much.

The pool will have see-through sides and floor, with no visible steps at the edge. This will apparently be achieved by a rotating spiral staircase inside of the pool allowing visitors access.

Sound excessive? You’re not wrong.

Swimming pool designer Alex Kemsley said one of the major challenges he is going to face is how to actually get people into the pool.

“Normally a simple ladder would suffice, but we didn’t want stairs on the outside of the building or in the pool as it would spoil the view – and obviously you don’t want 600,000 litres of water draining through the building either,” he told The New York Post.

“The solution is based on the door of a submarine, coupled with a rotating spiral staircase which rises from the pool floor when someone wants to get in or out – the absolute cutting edge of swimming pool and building design and a little bit James Bond to boot!”

Sounds mad. But yeah, wouldn’t mind a little dip in it, tbh.

Where exactly the pool will be built has yet to be revealed, but Kemsley is hoping that construction will start as early as next year.

Get the togs at the ready, lads.
