Tesco has issued a product recall on batches of four varieties of its pesto products listed below.
The retailer has issued the recall as these particular brands may contain peanut, which is not declared on the label.
As stated on the FSAI website: “This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of peanut or its constituents.”
In terms of product identification, the following batches have been recalled:
- Tesco Green Pesto, pack sizes: 190g and 280g.
- Tesco Reduced Fat Green Pesto, pack size: 190g.
- Tesco Reduced Fat Red Pesto, pack size: 190g.
- Tesco Spinach & Ricotta Pesto, pack size: 190g.
All best before dates are prior to 1 November, 2022.
