COMPETITION: You could win €1000 in Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week’s "Feather Hunt"

How would you like to win €1000? That's probably a stupid question. A more relevant question is what could you do with €1000?

Well, Gas Networks Ireland are offering one lucky person a chance to find out but you'll need to be in Dublin on Saturday, 23 September. They're holding a special Treasure Feather Hunt as part of Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week.

Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer with no smell, colour or taste. It can be caused by any fuel that burns, including coal, gas, turf, oil or wood.

An average of one to two people die every year in Ireland from unintentional Carbon Monoxide poisoning in the home. This makes it vital to have your fuel-burning appliances serviced by a qualified technician, and clean chimneys once a year. Installing a carbon monoxide alarm can also save lives.

The feather hunt will be held in Dublin city and your challenge is to find the Carbon Monoxide Awareness mascot, Tommy McAnairey

You'll find his yellow feathers in various locations around Dublin and these will lead you to the final location... and the €1000! We'll be posting clues on our Twitter and Snapchat to tell you what you need to do to find Tommy and how to get your hands on the big prize.
