One of the only things that pleases the beauty desk at Her.ie more than news of a new range is news of a new Irish range.
So, we were very happy to see a drop of beauty good to put to the test from Kinvara Skincare, a new Irish, organic and ethical skincare range.
Keeping it simple, founder Dr. Joanne Reilly, says she believes that women shouldn't be confused and stressed about the science of skin care because “skin care is and should be simple”.
Fitting, then, that the range the company launched with comprises of only three main skincare products.
Rosehip Day Cream (€24)
They say:
It absorbs quickly leaving your skin protected and primed for the day ahead. The creams anti-aging formula is enriched with Omega rich plant oils, regenerating vitamins, 3% natural plumping hyaluronic acid and fragrant oils of lemon and lavender.
Her thoughts:
The cream went on smoothly and absorbed quickly, and after a week of use left skin feeling plumper and nourished. Plus it smelled delicious.

Rosehip Face Serum (€28)
They say:
The mega-hydrating serum blends organic botanics in a unique cold process that ensures the fragile oils and heat sensitive vitamins remain intact. This serum – which can be used at any time but is recommended for night time use – will hydrate and nourish your skin, making it look amazing.
Her thoughts:
Our favourite of the bunch and the first one we’d recommend to a friend. Even one overnight use showed a difference in skin that had been subjected to long days in recycled office air. Magic.

Absolute Cleansing Oil (€20)
They say:
An uplifting blend of plant oils aims to ‘open your mind, balance your pores’ with a unique cleansing experience. Absolute Cleansing Oil offers our customers a product that is really gentle but really effective, cleaning your skin without stripping.
Her thoughts:
Sometimes it’s hard to believe that your face is actually clean if it’s not feeling tingly and tight afterwards. After a few days of use though, we were enjoying the gentler routine. The cleansing oil took away the marks of the day and the remains of make-up with ease, but left skin feeling more ‘gently cleansed’ than fully stripped.

Joanne also pointed out that the products are suitable for men as well as women, but we won’t be passing that information on to himself. Get your own, Sir.
Range available from selected health stores and pharmacies nationwide, and from www.kinvaraskincare.com
