3 amazing hair products that will keep your locks gorgeous while salons are closed

Melissa Carton

Obsessed with these!

While we’re delighted to hear that salons might be up and running again in May (yay), that’s still a good few weeks away.

Until then we of course want to keep out tresses in the best condition possible and after much tried and testing over the last couple of lockdowns, here are three hair products I think everyone should invest in.

Joico Defy Damage SleepOver Overnight Treatment

This product has been raved about by almost every blogger and beauty journalist and I’m here to tell you it is absolutely worth the hype!

I have curly hair and using this at night before I go to bed helps me wake up in the morning with perfect, soft, shiny hair.

Joico Sleepover retails for roughly €24.50 on most Irish beauty supply sites.

Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Moisture Nutritive Leave In Conditioner

I’ve been using the Alfaparf range for years but their leave in conditioner is my favourite of all their products.

Particularly good if you have hair that is prone to tangling, apply the leave in conditioner after you wash your hair and allow it to continually moisturise your hair all day.

The Alfaparf range is available to buy from most salon websites or for €14.25 on Millies.

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector

I feel like just about everyone has heard about the magic of Olaplex, but if you haven’t, let me tell you it’s amazing.

The formula is engineered with a Bond Multiplying System, which helps to reconnect broken disulphide sulphur bonds in hair, effectively resetting the hair from within, to allow enhanced regrowth, structure and integrity.

You can buy the whole range but it can be a bit pricy, so if you want to invest in one of their products I’d recommend Olaplex No.3.

Olaplex No.3 is available to buy from Look Fantastic for €27.95.
