5 hair trends that are going to be big this festival season

3-day hair don't care.

Because we all need a little inspiration every now and then.

When it comes to festival hair, it seems like the humble ponytail just won’t cut the mustard anymore. We all want to try something a little bit different and stray away from our usual everyday styles.

So, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite last-minute festival hairstyles that we are absolutely in love with this summer.

Enjoy!

The faux mohawk

If you’re looking for something a little bit edgy then the faux mohawk could be just the trend for you. It’s a great style for day three of the festival when your hair is looking a little bit peaky. Just put a little dry shampoo into your roots (we love L’Oréal Paris Elvive Fibrology Dry Shampoo) and then get to work. Thankfully there are lots of handy tutorials online.

Bright and bold colours

Daring colours are big news this festival season so why not give it a go? You don’t have to opt for a permanent colour either. Colorista is a new area of hair colour from L’Oréal Paris which allows you to change up your hair with no commitment. They have one day spray (perfect for the final day), 1-2 weeks washout and even permanent paint so you can decide what suits you. There are even 34 customisable shades to choose from. We’re so in.

Put a ring on it

Yes, hair rings are officially a thing and we’re kind of on board with it. We mean, they do look pretty deadly when they’re braided into your hair. It’s also a great way to jazz up a simple pair of pigtail plaits. You might need an extra set of hands to pull this off.

Flower accessories

OK, we’re kind of over the whole flower crown phase but that doesn’t mean we have to ditch florals completely. We’re loving smaller floral accessories this festival season like these lovely little flower clips.

Pom Pom hair

Yup, it’s a thing. Pom poms are on everything this summer from handbags to shoes and it seems like hair is going to be no exception, not that we are complaining.
