From nails to your make-up trial run, to massages and facials, there's a lot of beauty prep that goes into making you feel like the best self on your big day.
And one thing many brides will opt for is Botox. There's no harm in getting Botox, but experts are urging brides to avoid it in the run-up to their wedding day, especially if it is their first time.
According to Dr Rosemary Coleman, brides should avoid getting Botox six months before their wedding.
She explained to Newstalk: "Do not try it for the first time within six months of the wedding, because it has to be fashioned for each individual."
Botox typically only lasts for around three months, but it can last for up to six months in others; it all depends on the person.
Dr. Coleman explained that the difference it will make to your face will change over time, and you may not like how you look with it after those first three months have passed.
"Most people find Botox only lasts three months, but some people will get six months out of it. That’s fabulous normally, but not if you don’t like what was done to you, so don’t try Botox for the first time sooner than six months before the wedding, so that if you don’t like it, it will wear off," she warned.
If you plan on getting Botox before your big day, then make sure to visit a qualified professional.
