Turn down the temp
Having really hot showers and baths can actually strip essential oils from your skin. Try turning down the temperature and always make sure that you wash your face with lukewarm water. It's a little change that can make a massive difference.
Use a gentle cleanser
Some soaps and cleansers contain lots of harsh chemicals that will actually dry out your skin. When you're buying face wash make sure you read the ingredients and always opt for the most natural option.
Eat your fruit
Fruit is full of water so naturally, it is a great way to keep your skin hydrated. It also contains lots of beneficial vitamins and minerals that can give your skin a much-needed boost. Swap your 3pm chocolate bar for a nice piece of fruit and you're guaranteed to notice the difference.
Invest in a good moisturiser
Never underestimate the power of a good moisturiser because it can do absolute wonders for your skin. Look out for one that will replenish and also protect your skin from the elements. Our fashion and beauty editor Cathy Donohue recently spoke to Clarins' Scientific Communication Manager to get the low down on what's important to look out for.
