The GHD is an extremely versatile hair tool because an appliance that can straighten and curl hair is the dream really. Given how much we rely on our hair straighteners because well, they come everywhere really, we get very excited when there's a new product released. GHD has just released a new styler and it's getting a lot of attention for this is their 'most-tested product' ever. It's the first tool from the range to feature dual-zone technology which basically means two heat sensors across each plate. This allows the straightener to maintain a safer-for-heat hair of 185 degrees Celsius at all times which ultimately results in sleeker, smoother and healthier looking hair. Other stand-out features include the round barrel for snag-free styling, (no more catching your hair and wincing in pain, YAY) and the fact it heats up in 25 seconds flat. According to stats released from GHD, eight out of ten women preferred the GHD Gold to their current styler and it's mainly because the dual-zone technology allows for quicker, easier styling. According to global ambassador Adam Reed, straight hair is key this season.

The secret to success here lies in the process – namely starting the look with a brilliant blow dry via the ghd Air Hairdryer, afterwards we are running the styler over hair to eliminate any last frizz or kinks. GHDs are extremely durable and once you have one, it tends to last a long time but we're still very intrigued by what the Gold version has to offer.
