Another Beauty Challenge Has Emerged Online and It Is  Batsh*t

Cassie Delaney

The #iPhoneKnees challenge is sadly a real thing.

A few weeks ago the #A4Waist challenge went viral, and you, know, offended pretty much everyone who saw it.

Now there’s a new equally crazy hashtag continuing the trend of comparing body sizes to inanimate objects. Originating in China, women have taken to social media to measure their knees against an iPhone.

Yes, that’s right, your knees.

Of course, whether your knees can or cannot be concealed behind a smartphone reveals absolutely nothing about your body size, weight or health.

Dr. Bedford of New York Orthopedics told Teen Vogue:

“The knees are bone and cartilage, and those are fixed size, so there’s not much to do to change the knee’s size.

“You can be very healthy with diet and exercise, but your knees will probably be bigger than an iPhone 6.”

So all in all, it’s a complete waste of time.

Here’s a video about body positivity instead.
