Waiting for your hair to grow can be a very long process and we're always on the lookout for tips and tricks that work.
Thanks to Farah Dhukai, beauty vlogger extraordinaire, we now know the secret to making your hair grow faster and better still, the ingredients are more than likely in your kitchen press.
You'll need coconut oil, warmed to room temperature so it's in liquid form, and cayenne pepper but as Farah recommends it's very important to do a scalp test first so you can see how your skin reacts to it.
Farah recommends mixing the two together in a jar and storing it in a cool, dry place for a week before applying it to the scalp only.
The reason this mixture encourages hair growth is the capsaicin found in cayenne pepper which helps to stimulate hair growth while also adding volume and thickness.
As noted above, a test is essential and if trying this tip, do so with caution, using only a very light layer to begin with so you can see how your scalp reacts.
