Beauty travel tips: 10 beauty buys to not leave home without this summer
The season of spritzes, sun dresses and beach days is almost here.
After a couple of years spent mostly just dreaming of the day when we’ll be seated by a pool in the south of France or on a Greek isle with a chilled glass of rosé in hand, I think we can agree the summer can’t come soon enough.
And this summer, as we are finally able to travel freely again, you can bet we will be heading off somewhere far more exotic than our local park.
While our holiday wardrobe also fills us with excitement, there is just something about filling our vanity bags and suitcases with box-fresh beauty products to indulge in while abroad.
Off on a sun holiday soon? Here are 10 beauty buys I wouldn't leave home without – and that will literally take your holiday glow from the plane to the beach – and back home again:
1. Codex Radiance Mist
Planes (and trains and ferries) can get hot and sticky, and I love nothing more than to give my skin a little refreshing spritz to feel slightly less grubby and hot. And right now, my very favourite product for this is the Antü Radiance Mist by Codex.
This refreshing facial mist helps tone, hydrate, soothe and refine the skin, and I love that it contains natural ingredients like Witch Hazel, Lemon, Lime and Mango to revitalize my skin – and senses.
Not to mention – it is just as perfect to use on the beach or by the pool when you need to cool down a little.
2. Ere Perez Cranberry Lip and Eye Butter
Another summer beauty must-have, the Cranberry Lip and Eye Butter by Ere Perez can be used as both a lip balm and soothing eye cream – meaning more space in your suitcase.
The clean beauty formula is deeply moisturising and nourishes the fine skin areas around your lips so they can retain moisture and youthfulness, and I love using it on the plane, as the dry air often strips skin of moisture, leaving it sensitive and dry.
3. KDK Dreamer Silk Eye Mask
This eye mask not only looks beautiful but also has a number of benefits. It will block out light while also protecting the skin around the eyes from damage while you sleep. Perfect if you want to snooze on the plane.
4. DeDanu Shield Wellness Roller
I am obsessed with this essential oil roller, containing oils that are known to ward off germs and give your immune system a boost. Everyone knows planes are a breeding ground for illness, and so I always make sure to use this on pule points (neck, chest, inner elbows, wrists, back of knees, ankles) before boarding.
Bonus? It smells delicious and means you can ditch your (full of chemicals) perfume too.
5. IMAGE Prevention + Daily Ultimate Protection Moisturiser SPF50
My very favourite facial sun cream, the Prevention + Daily Ultimate Protection Moisturiser SPF50 from Image Skincare not only gives broad-spectrum protection against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays, but it also fights against the effects of blue light and environmental skin stressors that cause dryness, discolouration and other signs of ageing.
I also love how it is super lightweight, meaning no greasy residue – and to top it off, it is water resistant, and free of parabens and artificial fragrances.
A real holiday must for me.

6. Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist
I am vigilant about using SPF on my face all year around, and never more so than when on holidays.
This, of course, means that I will have to cheat a little when it comes to my colour, and so enter the Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist – my new self-tanning spray by miles.
Made in Tasmania, the products from Three Warriors are pure, clean and not harmful for our health and skin, and the best bit – this spray gives my face the perfect sun-kissed glow, while also keeping it feeling refreshed and nourished.
7. R + Co On A Cloud Baobab Oil Repair Mask
Chlorine and salt water can play real havoc with our hair – and so sun holidays will often cause my hair to feel and look crispy, dried out and my colour to go really brassy and unflattering, sending me running to the hairdressers the minute I get back home.
However, ever since discovering the Baobab Oil products from R+Co, things have been different.
Created by a trio of the top session stylists in the business, R+Co is renowned for its wide-ranging, treatment-orientated line of hair products, and I love how they only use natural ingredients (and no parabens, sulphates, mineral oil or petrolatum), is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
The Oa A Cloud Baobab Oil Repair Masque is so perfect for summer hair, as it infuses your strands with moisture and repairs while restoring strength and elasticity through a medley of oils, proteins and vitamins.

8. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sun Protection SPF50+ Milk
Sun cream is not just for your face, but something you should be vigilant about on your entire body.
I love using the La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+ Sun Protection range, as it offers extremely high protection against UVA, UVB and infrared light.
My skin can be a bit sensitive in the heat, but not so with this lightweight formula, as it absorbs super-quickly and leaves no residue.
As well as that, the use of Thermal Spring Water, an exclusive La Roche-Posay complex, helps to keep skin really hydrated, which is so important when exposing it to pools, sand and sun.
9. Clarins Ever Bronze and Blush Compact Powder
Another summer staple for me, I immediately feel like summer is coming when I lay my hands on the latest Clarins bronzer. I love the packaging – always giving off happy vibes and sunshine, and I love how it leaves my skin looking glowing, healthy and sun-kissed.
This trio bronzing powder will help create a gorgeous glow, a highlighter to illuminate and sculpt and a peach blush to give a touch of colour.
10. Skin Proud Frozen Over Gel-to-Ice Hydrator
Trust me – if you have ever spent too much time out in the sun, and had your skin feeling like it is on fire later on that evening, you need the now-cult status Frozen Over from vegan skincare brand, Skin Proud.
Enriched with super-hydrating hyaluronic acid, this next generation skin saviour can be used at room temperature for an instant burst of moisture – or applied straight from the fridge or freezer for icy, soothing, hydration for sun-stressed skin.
