The Beautyblender hack you probably never thought of trying

Well, this is a new one.

Cathy Donohue

Beauty Blenders have eclipsed foundation brushes as the best way to apply your makeup.

Of course, it depends on the finish you like and what method you find most effective but having looked into it, we’re finding that the humble pink sponge is currently reigning supreme.

Anyway, the most annoying part about any of these beauty utensils is the fact they need to be cleaned, thoroughly and regularly.

Recently, we chatted about how to clean your makeup brushes but if you want to get that much-loved Beautyblender clean, you’ll have to step things up a gear.

After our daily Pinterest perusal, we found that people are now double-cleansing their sponges.

When blending is bae ?

Similar to us, you’re probably thinking WHO has time for that but apparently, it’s the way forward.

So, you double cleanse your sponge in the same way as you’d double cleanse your face – start by removing any residual makeup with a cleansing oil and follow with a foaming product to ensure a good “deep-clean”.

Rinsing in between steps is a key step for both your face and blender and although it might seem like extra effort, it’s worth it for a squeaky clean sponge.
