A Scottish-based beauty blogger has shared her wisdom with the world and has gone massively viral in the process.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote:

Laureen went on to say that it restored her beloved sponges to ‘new’, even removing oil-based foundation and she reckons this same hack would work really well for tanning mitts too.
The simple trick has impressed makeup lovers worldwide who have tweeted their appreciation of the super fast and super easy tip.
People have been testing it out and everyone is bowled over by the fact that they can see the original colour of their Beauty Blenders, which were previously caked in foundation, again.
