Beyoncé’s hair guru recommends this hair step between shampoo and conditioner

We're extremely guilty of this one.

All hail Queen B.

There’s no denying the singer has one amazing head of hair (an Irish Mammy phrase if ever you heard one) and so, we’re willing to take all tips from her beauty team on board.

You might have heard the term ‘gloss’ when you’re getting your hair done as hair professionals will sometimes recommend using them to lift your colour and/or add a high-shine finish.

It’s also a really natural way to freshen up existing colour if you don’t fancy having it reapplied.

However, according to celebrity colourist Rita Hazan, this is something you should be doing at home, every time you wash your hair no less.

Yes, we know it sounds like major effort as shampooing and conditioning is ENOUGH but if it means a good hair day every day, it’s very tempting.

In conversation with Byrdie, the expert explained that she follows a shampoo-gloss-condition routine every time she washes her hair.

“Glossing is very important. No matter what you do, your hair colour will fade and get dull naturally from environmental and mechanical damage”.

Rita maintains that glossing at home will keep your hair healthy, shiny and vibrant at all times.

Not only does Rita look after Beyoncé’s locks, she also tends to Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry when they’re in need of some hair TLC.

That’s enough, we are sold…
