Who rocked this do back in the day?

When it comes to new trends, we’re always open and willing to giving them a try.

Yes, whether it was the dip-dye trend of a few years ago or the short layers from our teenage years, we dabbled in them all.

However, this new trend is a serious throwback to the days when we longed to replicate the looks of Mary-Kate and Ashley.

Seen on every catwalk from Dolce and Gabbana to Versace, this slicked back trend reminds us very much of the style we rocked back in primary school.

With a sharp centre parting and seriously smooth sides, this trend is predicted to make a major comeback in 2018.

However, just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it has to be boring. The look was embellished by many designers with jewelled headbands and intricate hair slides.

While we can imagine that the look would be great for keeping flyaways at bay and small strands out of our eyes, somehow, we don’t think it will be for everyone.

However, celebs like Shay Mitchell and Bella Hadid are convincing us to at least give it a try. We can always brush it out, right?
