What an incredible talent!

Last Christmas, my darling brother got me the most lovely gift.

It was a leather makeup bag, black and white stripes, with gorgeous painted fashion figures.

I was impressed with him to say the least, and have been pretty obsessed with the bag ever since.

So, I decided to go looking for the genius behind my bag, Charlotte Posner.

And needless to say, I was not disappointed by her incredible story.

Charlotte is a London-based contemporary artist best known for her vivacious, vibrant and hand painted Pop Doll series.

An accomplished British contemporary artist, Charlotte derives her inspiration from people, places and popular culture from all over the world.

So how did it all kick off?

In 2014, Charlotte created a Twitter storm with the launch of her Pop Doll paintings. Coca-Cola, Walls, Kellogg’s, Nails INC and Disney all complimented the works and one piece later became the creative for Magnum. Pretty impressive right?

Since then, it’s been strength to strength.

When creating her artworks, Charlotte starts by sketching a rough conceptual outline in pencil. She then uses traditional dip-pen and ink for drawing the Pop Doll outlines and finally adds colour and personality with acrylic and watercolour paint.

Incredibly, Charlotte has been featured as in-house artist at some of the most amazing brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Crème de la Mer and Shiseido.

In October 2018, The Charlotte Posner Collection launched exclusively with Brown Thomas in Dublin (hence my luck with Christmas – thanks bro!)

The Charlotte Posner collection came to be in existence thanks to a meeting between Charlotte and entrepreneur Lady Jeanne Davies.

The dynamic duo met thanks to their mutual love of art, Jeanne having seen Charlotte on a TV program about the Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition. With their team of talented, like-minded women, together they launched Charlotte’s gifting collection.

And guys, the stuff is amazing. Seriously, of I could buy it all I would.

The luxury gifting range features her stunning art, and includes framed hand signed limited edition prints, beautiful leather goods, stationery, ceramics, insulated water bottles and accessories.

If you want to get your hands on a piece of Charlotte’s story, the collection is available on the Brown Thomas website, and in store.

Look out for the shiny new collection by the way, it’s delicious.

You won’t regret it.
