Nothing beats a new perfume.

So, I would describe myself as a bit of a perfume nerd.

Everyone has their thing, and one of mine is perfumes.

I am always on the look out for new and gorgeous scents, that suit various different places and times.

Do you have a perfume that you only really wear on mad nights out?

Or perhaps a specific smell you prefer to wear on holiday?

Well, I probably have about 60, and I use them depending on my mood, the weather, or where I am.

So, I have decided to put together a Christmas gift guide, with some perfumes I adore – and that would make the perfect present this festive season.

Tiffany & Love for Her, €91.

The Tiffany & Love fragrances are both crafted by a duo of perfumers, and express the magnetism and electricity of love. Each fragrance has its own unique structure but share a common hero ingredient, blue sequoia. Tiffany & Love for Her is a modern woody floral scent created by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Marie Salamagne of Firmenich. This delicious new scent is available in Brown Thomas and Arnotts.

Armani Privé Orangerie Venise, €156.

This is the latest addition to the Armani Privé family, and it’s absolutely divine. Inspired by the orangeries of Italy, the scent is a zesty, elegant and long-lasting one. It contains notes of citrus, neroli and bergamot – a winning combination. I was lucky enough to preview this perfume earlier in the month, and all I can say is wow. Orangerie Venise is available in Brown Thomas and online.

Shiseido Ever Bloom Sakura Art edition, €55.

A celebration of ‘Sakura’ or ‘Cherry Blossom’ and the arrival of spring. Every year in early April, Tokyoites gather under the shade of the cherry blossoms that are believed to bring good fortune. The fragrance is an edit of cherry blossom and orange blossom tied together with a soft woody musk. This fragrance is as delicate as a cherry blossom flower, and just as pretty.

Jo Malone London Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, €135.

This is one of my favourite scents of all time. Enriched with amber and black orchid and illuminated by the clean sensuality of black cardamom, ginger and water lily. A calm and relaxing scent that’s perfect for autumn. You can get a bottle of it here now.

Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée, €130.

Vanille Insensée, an electrical current runs through the subtle sweetness of pure vanilla, jasmine and fresh lime to bond with rich oak moss, woods and spicy coriander – an unexpected yet highly addictive contrast. Simply delicious. You can buy it here now (you won’t regret it!)

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, €69.

Oh how I love the look of a Marc Jacobs fragrance on my shelf! The new Daisy Love Eau So Sweet captures the addictive and irresistible spirit of Daisy Love with an unexpected sweet freshness, making it the perfect summer scent. It contains notes of white raspberries and delicate musk, along with crystallised cranberries and daisy tree petals. It’s available now at Boots.

Angel Eau Croisière Eau de Toilette, €55.

This new perfume is a limited edition fragrance, and it is just delicious! The perfect companion on your exotic getaways, in search of adventure and time for yourself, Angel Eau Croisière Eau de Toilette embodies the desire to escape.  Angel Eau Croisière Eau de Toilette belongs to the Fruity Oriental fragrance family, with notes of mango and blackcurrant sorbet, along with patchouli and praline. Divine.

ESCENTRIC MOLECULES Molecule, €82.

This is hard one to describe, as it wouldn’t be your typical fragrance. Molecule 01 consists of one single ingredient, Iso E Super. You’ll notice a gorge, subtle velvety-woody note which will vanish, then re-surface after some time, but more than this, you will notice the impact it has on other people.
