Embrace Autumn with this pumpkin spice hair colour trend

Katy Brennan

This is stunning.

You’ve probably noticed how everything around you has suddenly become pumpkin-themed – lattes, candles, food – which can only mean one thing. October is here. And we are officially obsessed with all things autumnal.

The latest in the long list of pumpkin related trends is pumpkin-spice hair. And with Autumn being in full swing, why not give your hair a seasonal refresh?

If you’re not quite ready to let go of your light summer locks, this could be for you. Ideal for blondes, this hair trend looks like an all-over peachy orange or copper shade with bleach blonde strips at the front.

But don’t worry if it seems a little too out-there for you, because this trend is pretty versatile and can be done in many different ways.

Kristen Stewart rocked the look on the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival last month, ditching the bleached strands and opting for a more subtle all-over peachy tint to her blonde locks.

Brunettes don’t have to miss out either. Adding copper highlights gives a hint of pumpkin spice and some much-welcome post summer warmth.

If you’ve decided to give it a go, experts say there’s one thing to keep in mind. The red undertone in your hair should suit your complexion.

If you have a light complexion then copper-toned or strawberry blonde is perfect. If you have pink or red undertones, dark red and auburn tones will be ultra-flattering.
