Five situations where dry shampoo is a lifesaver

It is the BUSINESS.

Dry shampoo is genuinely one of the best beauty inventions going.

Okay, so overusing it is a VERY bad idea but to be fair, sometimes it’s the only solution for a bad hair day.

One great thing about dry shampoo is the fact that it comes in a number of different varieties and there’s literally a type to suit every hair dilemma.

Transforming greasy oily locks, adding volume and texture to fine hair and getting an extra day from that curly blow-dry.

There are some situations where dry shampoo is an absolute lifesaver and below, I’ve outlined a few times I’ve thanked the beauty Gods for coming up with it.

When you just can’t be bothered

Sometimes, washing your hair (and conditioning, drying and straightening it) is just too much of an effort and you need a quick fix.

Enter dry shampoo, a quick spritz and no on will ever know that you were super lazy and just had a body shower. Oops.

When you’re at a festival

Living in a field for a couple of days means access to a shower is limited.

Body wipes and dry shampoo are two essentials that you really won’t manage without.

You might feel a bit rotten but with a capsule festival kit, you’ll look the part at least.

When you’ve made an absolute mess of your hair

So you’ve tried and failed to recreate THAT heart hair style Kendall Jenner has us all obsessed with.

Now your hair is greasy from running your fingers through it a billion times and the flyaway static hairs are giving you a meltdown.

There’s only one thing for it, get out the dry shampoo and start from scratch. It’s a super easy way to reverse your style without having to wash your whole head – an absolute nightmare for those of us with thick, unruly locks.

When you sleep through your alarm

Don’t pretend you haven’t been there.

You went to sleep full of good intentions to get up and have a shower before work but somehow, the lure of your cosy bed proves too much and you get way too familiar with the snooze button.

When that happens and you’re scrambling around the room trying to get dressed, put a face on and get out the door, dry shampoo is literally your best friend.

When your hair grips will NOT stay in place

This might sound like a strange one but it works so well.

It’s a tip hair stylists always use to ensure hair clips stay where they’re meant to, after working on an elaborate upstyle.

Just spray some dry shampoo on before putting the grips in your hair and you should notice a major difference in the staying power of your look.
