If you weren’t a fan of Katy Perry’s sushi nail art then this probably isn’t the trend for you but one Washington woman has started an unlikely new beauty trend that isn’t for the faint hearted.
From baby farm animals to miniature cupcakes, those looking for a more Avante Garde beauty look have been turning to Etsy seller Natalie Russo’s Eyelash jewellery designs in their droves.

Fancy some sweets?

Or some mini farm animals?
Speaking to Fashionista.com, the talented trendsetter reveals that her niche product was born out of her own love of Japanese decora fashion and her frustration at not being able to find an easy to use existing product to decorate her eyes in the cartoon inspired way.

Or futuristic stars and sparkles?
They look a bit uncomfortable to us but Russo says the eyelashes are so comfortable that she’s even worn her favourite pair – a set of neon feathered lashes – in the bath! “I’ve worn them out so many times” she says. “Once, they stayed on for hours while I sat in a hot tub. It might sound crazy, but they’re like an old comfy pair of shoes. They’re like a part of me.”
