However, make-up artist Mary Phillips, spoke to Allure and said that when it comes to choosing eyeshadow colours, there’s one specific thing to keep in mind.
She said that people often think that darker shades will ‘enhance’ your peepers but that only applies to people who have big eyes.

If your eyes are small in size and shape, you’ll want to lean towards lighter hues.
Light neutral shades will soften and highlight while layering on the black only serves to “diminish and shrink” your eyes.
