Heading to Longitude? These Multi-Purpose Beauty Products Are Your New Best Friends

Make your beauty bag work harder - so that you can play harder.

Megan Cassidy

Call us demanding, but we think it’s perfectly fair to want to rock out all day and still look flawless.

When it comes to festivals – we are firm believers in making our beauty bag work harder so we don’t have to.

These five multi-purpose beauty products will save you time, effort and (valuable) bag space, while still ensuring your festival face is on fleek.

1. La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Foundation.

La Roche Posay

This “ultra-workable fluid corrective foundation” is all you need when it comes to flawless skin. It is hydrating (without turning oily skin into an oil slick), so no need for a moisturiser underneath.

It has SPF25 so you know you are protected if the sun makes an appearance (fingers crossed), and the coverage is totally buildable according to your needs.

The price is more high-end than drugstore, but a little goes a LONG way and the results are well worth it.

RRP €18.49.

2. Stila Convertible Colour Lip and Cheek in Peony.

stila

Stila is once again available in Ireland – hip hip hooray.

This incredibly smooth lip and cheek stain is an absolute treat to use. The colour pay-off is brilliant and achieves a naturally flushed result.

It is so heavily pigmented that it looks like more of a lipstick than a lip tint and the tiniest amount will give you a fresh, natural pink glow on the cheeks.

This can be worn underneath or over foundation, or completely on its own.

Best of all there is no need for any fiddly brushes.

RRP €21.50

3. L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara in Brown.

mascara

This little beaut is a real power player in your beauty bag. Used on the lashes – the brown shade achieves a much more natural and festival-friendly look than traditional black formulations.

But not only that – a nifty trick is to use the formulation to tame and groom eyebrows, too. The wand picks up individual hairs and dries look to ensure they will stay in place.

*Her Top Tip* Make sure you have a lot less product on the wand when using it on the brows than you would if applying to the lashes.

4. No7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter.

no7

This all-over bronzer combines bronzing and highlighting power in one.

A budget-friendly dupe for NARS The Multiple stick, this baby can be used on the cheekbones, forehead, centre of the nose, cupid’s bow and brow bone.

It is also beautiful when swept across the collarbone, and is incredibly lightweight with no irritating stickiness.

The twist-up packaging makes for fuss-free use and fits neatly and compactly into your makeup bag.

RRP €12.95

5. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is the ultimate beauty multi-tasker.

This one takes a little advanced planning, but trust us, it will be SO worth it.

There are a multitude of travel-sized coconut oil based beauty products, but you will pay big bucks for the novelty of easy transportation.

We recommend picking up some empty travel containers in the pharmacy, then heating your regular supermarket coconut oil in the pan to liquefy it.

Let it cool for one to two minutes and then pour into your container.

This stuff is great as a hand cream, hair serum, lip balm, highlighter, body moisturiser… we could go on!
