I’m constantly asked what foundation I’m wearing and good news is it’s €14.99

I'm obsessed.

In the market for a good foundation?

Well, then I’ve some good news for you.

Over the past six years, I’ve tried every brand under the sun, from high-priced ranges like Chanel to super-budget friendly cosmetics like essence and it’s safe to say I’ve had my fair share of disasters from a patchwork face to looking like a cheese puffs doppelganger.

And although I regularly like to change my foundation opting for something a little heavier in the winter compared to the summer, this season I’ve never been so happy with the foundation I’ve chosen and to people’s constant surprise, it’s not MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid, it’s not Georgio Armani’s Illumious Silk, it is in fact €20 cheaper and can be picked up in Boots.

I’m talking about Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation which you need to try. At €14.99, I first bought this foundation on a whim simply because I was heading to Barcelona and needed something last minute that was light and airy. So, when I picked up this foundation I could not believe how good yet natural looking the coverage was, how beautifully it smelt compared to some of its more expensive counterparts and finally how easy it is to blend and work in with other products such as bronzer and blusher.

Nightime

I suffer from slightly dry skin on my nose and forehead so, the fact that this foundation stayed moisturised and fresh looking on my face all day long was seriously impressive alongside the fact that I only ever felt the need to reapply at night.

What is also great about this foundation as an alternative to you’re more expensive, creamier foundation is that Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation actually uses a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula made with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates for boosted radiance and freshness.

The ONLY downside is that unfortunately, this foundation is only available in five shades. All quite light, I found myself purchasing the second darkest shade which is disappointing as it’s so limited. However, the colours do blend well so it’s certainly worth popping into the pharmacy to patch test.

You can check out the foundation online here.
