I’m Not OK: My Chemical Romance have just released a makeup collection

Jade Hayden

They certainly know their audience…

My Chemical Romance have just released a makeup collection and it’s as Central Bank Emo as you’d expect.

The band, who were scheduled to play a considerably large gig in Dublin before the coronavirus pandemic hit, recently announced their collab with beauty brand HipDot.

The new collection is inspired by one of their most iconic albums, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. And the best news? It’s available to buy online from today.

The collaboration features a selection of products ideal for the beauty obsessed among us who have yet to grow out of their Black Parade phase.

And that’s okay. My Chemical Romance defined a generation. They meant a lot to a lot of people. They excited a lot of people when they announced a summer gig in Kilmainham, only to have it abruptly postponed when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

But hey, in the meantime, why not buy their double-ended retractable eye shadow brush to keep yourself going?

The collection features the above, a double-ended liquid eyeliner pen, and a nine-shade eye shadow palette featuring the iconic Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album artwork.

The palette includes a range of colours that are extremely MCR. We’re talking reds, we’re talking blacks, we’re talking purple, grey, and white.

But if My Chem aren’t up your street, no need to worry because HipDot have also got a Spongebob Squarepants collection currently on sale on their website. And yes, you did read that correctly.

They also recently launched a collaboration with none other than Kesha. The ‘Tik Tok’ and ‘Blow’ singer teamed up with the brand to release a line that’s all about embracing who you are, while also showcasing your wildest looks.

HipDot’s My Chemical Romance collection launches later today (December 10), so keep an eye on their website here for a taste of what’s on offer.
