Do you like The Lion King?

Do you like remakes of classic Disney movies? Do you like Beyonce, Donald Glover, Seth Rogan, and Chiwetel Ejiofor?

Of course you do. They’re all talented people, they’ve all got nice voices, and they’re about to use those voices to bring audiences a live action remake that is actually worth remaking.

In a few weeks time, Disney’s The Lion King will be dropping onto our cinema screens again.

There’ll be tears, there’ll be laughs, there’ll be Beyonce’s husky dulcet tones to fill our eardrums with for one hour and a half minimum.

Exciting times for all involved, but before that we’ve got even more reasons to get hyped because a Lion King makeup collection is dropping soon and it looks absolutely glorious.

The limited edition Sir John x Luminess The Lion King collection has got everything you could ever want from a makeup line based off your favourite pop culture moment.

It’s an eight piece collection and includes five lip products, one highlighter, an eyeshadow palette and a sculpting palette.

According to the product description:  “The collaboration has created a one-of-a-kind makeup collection featuring highly pigmented formulas with colours curated from the African landscape to create equally stunning day and night looks.

“The highly-pigmented rich formulas all come together in hand-designed etched packaging, inspired by the iconic scenes and characters from the film.”

Sounds divine.

Sir John, who has worked with Beyonce in a professional and personal sense for years, said that he was nervous showing her the collection due to her close ties to the movie.

“I think that even when I called Bey and I said, ‘Hey, listen, this is what’s happening,’ I was kind of nervous to see what she thought, but she was so proud and so happy for me,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “So I feel like this is gonna be a win.”

He went on:

“I spent a lot of time in South Africa, so Luminess and I wanted to do something that really reflects not just the landscape and sunset and all of those things that are just natural and organic, but tribal prints as well.

“I really wanted to nail it and really hit it hard with the movie and I feel like this runs quite parallel with where the movie is as well.”

The collection drops in just over 12 days, with prices starting at $24 (€21).
