Lush made a pretty heinous error in the directions section on a kids shower gel bottle

Parents are horrified. We're horrified.

Grandparents Richard and Tracey Shiner were left horrified when their 8-year-old granddaughter opened a bottle of Lush Snow Fairy shower gel and read a suggestive message in the How To Use section.

The section reads:

“If you really don’t know how, then we suggest you find someone you really like and invite them into the shower with you to demonstrate.”

The Grandparents state that the packaging and the name of the product made it sound particularly child-friendly.”

The couple tell The Sun that the packaging and name of the product suggested that it would be child friendly. The set contained the shower gel and moldable bath putty.

Richard said the product didn’t come with any warning.

“It didn’t say anything about age restrictions or anything,” he told The Sun.

“I couldn’t believe it said that. Then of course Macy was asking me what it meant.”

“I didn’t know what to say to her, so I had to pretend it meant she could bath with Buddy. But that’s not really appropriate either,” continued the Grandfather.

“It was the only thing I could think of to say to her at the time.”

Richard said he was so upset by the incident that he rang Lush HQ to make a complaint.

“But I phoned up and a girl answered the phone and although she didn’t actually laugh, I could tell from her tone of voice that she thought it was fine,” he said.

“I said ‘I don’t think it’s appropriate. It should have an age warning on it.’”

“She put me on to the manager and he said, ‘They’re meant to be tongue in cheek’,” continued Richard.

According to Richard the manager revealed that the line was aimed at children and that there had been a number of complaints about the packaging.

“He didn’t even take my name or address though, so I don’t think anything will be done,” concluded Richard.
