Makeup milestone: MAC’s latest foundation is better than Studio Fix

Here's why.

Cathy Donohue

We might have just found your new foundation.

MAC has now launched a Next To Nothing foundation and pressed powder; both are currently available from Brown Thomas and Arnotts.

Big deal, you say, but what sets this base apart from all the others is the foundation’s formula: it’s basically like a glowing Instagram filter for your face.

The foundation is inspired by the dewy-skinned glowy looks we’ve seen all over the catwalks this season and it’s hydrating, light and made with ” light-reflecting opalescent microspheres”…*OOOOOOH*.

If you adore Studio Fix, but sometimes find it too heavy, this might be your holy grail because it gives great coverage but feels light on the skin.

It works as a primer too which means you can skip that step in the mornings (music to our ears).

Meanwhile, the powder eliminates oil and gets rid of the dreaded 3pm shiny face – but is still much lighter than traditional setting powders.
