Ahh, what would us Irish folk do without our favourite tanning products?
Well, it looks like a lot of us would be quite lost without them actually.
In a recent study conducted by Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter, it revealed that a staggering 95 percent of women wear fake tan throughout the winter months, with the majority of these women wearing it as a confidence booster.
In the same poll conducted by Ireland’s leading tan brand, it discovered that most Irish women like to tan from head to toe, with 71.3 percent saying an all over glow is key. However, what we found most interesting is the specific parts people choose to tan if they aren’t opting for that full body bronze. 25 percent of women admitted to only tanning their arms and legs, while 5.7 percent of women just tan their ankles (no pasty feet with cropped jeans to be seen here.)
And lastly, the perfect day for tanning as chosen by Irish women?
Thursday. Almost half of all women surveyed chose Thursday as the perfect day to lather up ahead of the weekend.Cocoa Brown Founder, CEO and tanning expert Marissa Carter believes tan is the perfect winter pick me up: “In the winter you need that extra bit of life in your skin. We need a little bit of an extra glow because we’re not getting an ounce of sunshine here in Ireland. I think tan is a real pick me up for people–it gives you that little boost.”
