I visited Monart, the only 5 star destination spa in Ireland, and it was EPIC
Honestly, divine.
There is nothing I love more than a bit of relaxation.
Most of the time, that means a sheet mask and a glass of wine while watching Netflix.
However, the odd time, I treat myself to a spa day, and honestly - it's the best thing ever.
Recently, the gorgeous folks at Monart invited me down to experience their 5 star hotel and spa.
When the invitation came in, I almost had a heart attack from the excitement.
Monart is Ireland's only 5 star destination spa, and has won countless impressive awards.
It had been on my bucket list for a very long time.
Anyway, the invite included a one night stay in the hotel, with dinner, breakfast and an IMAGE facial treatment in the spa.
Stunning.
I drove the 90 minutes from Dublin to Wexford, and arrived ready to chill out.
I was greeted with the warmest welcome (and tiny cakes, a stunning touch), and the most magnificent smell ever. Turns out the resort has its very own signature scented candle.
I was then brought to my MASSIVE room, which was just divine.
It had a balcony looking out over the resort, which is my idea of heaven.
Then I did what any self respecting adult would, and stripped off and popped on my robe - which I stayed in for the rest of the day.
In fact, the fancy restaurant id the only place in the entire resort where you can't wear your robe.
I went down to the spa and experienced the famous thermal suite, which has saunas, a pool, steam rooms, infrared rooms and even an outdoor sauna.
Then, I went to my room for the most delightful shower ever, and off I went to dinner.
Dinner was my favourite part of the entire experience, without a doubt.
It was actually one of the most delicious dinners I have ever eaten.
I had the beef, with all the delicious trimmings, and a couple of espresso martinis to polish off a glorious meal.

Then, off I went to bed. I'd like to give a special mention to the actual beds, because sweet LORD, they were comfortable. Like, wow.
Up I got after 8 solid hours of slumber, and down I went for breakfast (in my robe, mind you).
The breakfast buffet in Monart is like nothing I have ever seen. There were fruits, pastries, breads, jams, cereals... you name it, they had it.
I can't express how good the food was down there. Seriously.
Then came the important part of my little trip - the IMAGE facial in the spa.
It was suggested that I try the Monart IMAGE Experience Facial, which did not disappoint.
The facial included an age later Peptide and antioxidant infusion that promotes hydration radiance and glow.
And glow I did.
Then came an enzyme ageless exfoliating treatment, followed by an infusion of antioxidants, peptides and plant-derived anti-ageing stem cells, for hydration luminosity and rejuvenation.
After the facial I was brought to a relaxation room, where I sipped ginger tea, and wondered how much it would cost to move to Monart permanently.
All I can say is, I left with glowing skin, and a smile on my face.
The writer was invited by IMAGE Skincare and Monart for a one night stay in exchange for a fair and honest review.
