Noughties beauty trends were really something, weren't they?

If you ever plucked your eyebrows to within an inch of your life, wore foundation on your lips or sported some coloured mascara, chances are you started using makeup some time between 2000 and 2006. Magazines like Mizz, Shout and KISS were the only place to find out about about new fads while techniques were perfected from reading step-by-step instructions. Seriously, the teens who learn everything from Youtube now don't know how easy they have it. Now one of the most prominent makeup trends of the era is coming back. Yep - it's time to break out the glitter eyeshadow. We're not talking about a subtle shimmer here - this autumn's glitter is chunky and brightly coloured. It's hard to know why such a throwback look is making a comeback but we reckon it's got something to do with mainstream culture's current obsession with drag queens and their makeup mastery.
