The most popular Halloween makeup look on Pinterest has been revealed – and yeah, we totally see why

Hallowe'en is almost here.

Which means its time to break out the pumpkins and dust off your bewitching décor - and, of course, come up with some spook-tacular costume ideas. Pinterest recently released their annual Pinfrights report, which included everything  from some devilishly delicious Hallowe'en foods to spellbinding decoration inspiration.

Among the topics were ideas for group costumes, single costumes and for Hallowe'en makeup - which was very heavily influenced by the TV shows and movies of the last 12 months.

And while some of the most popular ones were ones we definitely expected to see - like Spider Man, Lion King and Aladdin's Princess Jasmine - there was one that reigned supreme: Stranger Things.  There was a 1,569 per cent increase in the searches for makeup inspired by the Netflix sci-fi series - and you can check out the most popular tutorial on Pinterest below. And in an autumn that saw It: Chapter Two hit cinemas, it turns out there has also been a massive increase in people looking for clown makeup. Although, not quite as scary as Pennywise. There was a 370 per cent increase in searches for cute clown makeup, while pretty clown makeup is up 280 per cent. Other looks that have proven to be massively popular with Pinterest users include Porcelain doll makeup, with a 153 per cent year-on-year increase in searches; alien makeup, with a 146 per cent year-on-year increase in searches; simple mime makeup, , with a 153 per cent year-on-year increase in searches.
