Scents of summer: 5 new fragrances for the season ahead

When it comes to summer, it does have its own wonderful smell. Freshly cut grass, ocean breeze, sun cream, warm sidewalks, summer might just be both my favourite season and my favourite scent. Speaking of scents, did you know it makes good sense to update your fragrance for the warm season too? Scent develops on our skin throughout the day, and on days when we are warm and sweaty might smell completely different than it does on cold winter days. To test it out, try to spray a sample on your wrist and see how it develops – you may find it’s too light or too strong for your taste – and hence be better off going for something more suitable to summer right now. And while there is no rule book per se, as a rough guide, though, citrus and light floral scents are great for the warmer months when you don’t want anything too heavy or cloying (as sweat and heat will amplify your perfume).
