Sensitive skin? The €16 cleanser I cannot live without for taking off my makeup

Taking off your makeup isn't a fun activity.

Usually, by the time you get around to doing it, you're wrecked, fit for bed and overall, just disinterested in the chore.

But, it's important that you don't reach for that baby wipe which will dry out your skin, it's even more important that you don't go to bed with your makeup on (we're all guilty of this at some stage) but instead, spend literally two minutes extra lathering this foam on your face and you'll reap the results.

If you're like me and find that your skin is often irritated, tight or looking red after you use product on it, this gentle cleansing foam from Avène will feel like a facial every night.

Like most of Avène's products, this foam is super gentle, doesn't irritate your eyes when removing mascara and eyeliner and the 150ml bottle will last you weeks.

The soap-free cleansing base eliminates impurities and excess sebum while tightening the pores and then the foam is rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water, clinically proven to be soothing on your skin.

To apply, simply wet your face with warm water, use two pumps of the foam working it into your skin in a circular motion and then rinse with warm water and dry with cotton pads.

Being honest, the whole process takes me about 6 minutes and then I just pump a dash of Vichy Mineral 89 on my skin to top it off before bed.

My skin has never felt better since I actually decided to start using products that my face was screaming out for.

If you've slightly dehydrated skin (another joy I suffer from), serum with some hyaluronic acid will not just give you that deep moisture kick you need but a serum's gel-like formula also helps to act as a barrier against pollution and other harmful factors that affect your skins functioning.

You can purchase the Vichy 89 serum here.
