Sisters Huda and Mona Kattan have launched the most beautiful perfume collection.
Huda Beauty has enjoyed worldwide success since its launch in 2013 and now Huda and Mona Kattan have teamed up to launch Kayali, a range of scents.
The first collection, Kayali 01, includes four statement perfumes, Vanilla, Citrus, Musk and Elixir all of which are sold separately but are designed to be worn together.
Layering is a fragrance trend that’s started to become more popular in recent times as it allows you to create your own bespoke scent, something that appeals to perfume lovers.
Elixir | 11 is fast becoming the most-talked-about scent possibly because it’s the most unique of the four launches and one that Huda and Mona Kattan have coined their “signature” scent.
Elixir |11 includes red apple, rose petal essence, rose centifolia and jasmine sambac but it’s patchouli and velvety amber that add depth and ensure this scent has that all-important lasting power.
The sisters say it it’s gorgeous worn by itself but for a multi-faceted effect, it layers beautifully with Vanilla | 28 and Musk | 12.
Having chatted to Kayali representatives, I’m told that the number after each scent refers to the number of times it took to perfect each blend so for example, there were ten different versions of Elixir before they settled on the perfect version, number 11.
Citrus | 08 is a mix of pink grapefruit, bergamot, pink pepper, rhubarb and rose centifolia, Vanilla | 28 includes jasmine, vanilla orchid, brown sugar, musk and Brazilian tonka bean while Musk | 12 is a glorious mix of lotus flower, sandalwood and freesia.
The fragrances are designed to be mixed and matched so you can create a luxury fragrance that’s bespoke to you and of course, the packaging is perfection too.
The fragrances are available in both 100ml and 50ml versions with the 100ml priced at €98.50 and €78.50 for 50ml.
