Glamour, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Florida, A.J. Marsden is of the opinion that watching the "repetitive motion of brow how-tos can be soothing and have a positive effect on our mood".
This has to do with the fact that tutorials are often short and snappy and people like feeling that you can get that dramatic pay-off with such a short space of time.
Chatting about the phenomenon, blogger Huda Kattan said that getting your brows can have a transformative effect.
"When you see before and after images or videos, people with no brows look older, or their faces don't look shapely. Then all of a sudden, boom! You add brows and they look like a different person".
To be fair, there is a certain degree of satisfaction in getting your brows on fleek, whether it's finding a technician who understands the look you want or searching through endless tutorials to finally find the one that works for you.
