One of our favourite Irish Snapchat personalities is taking a step back.

Marissa Carter has said she is quitting social media.

The woman behind Cocoa Brown tan revealed that she will leave all of her personal accounts.

She said goodbye to her followers in a final Instagram post this evening, saying it was time to focus on life outside her phone.

“Over and out lovelies. I’ve decided to leave all of my personal social media accounts,” she wrote.

“Sending you all love and light. Thanks for all the banter, chats and fun – I will miss my insta/snap fam but my gut is telling me it’s time to focus outside my phone screen.

“The @cocoabrowntan social media accounts will of course still be active with news, events and launches etc from my team. Be well, be kind and be beautiful, Marissa

At the time of writing, Marissa has 111,000 followers on Instagram.

She started out as a beautician but in the depths of the recession decided to launch her own fake tanning brand.

Cocoa Brown is now sold in 21 countries and Marissa one of Ireland’s best-known business women.
