Sunny days.
Once the sun makes an appearance, the urge to don summer dresses and espadrilles is just overwhelming.
There’s also a tendency to give pasty skin a bronzed glow but unfortunately, it’s all too easy to go overboard with this particular makeup item.
Makeup artist Dick Page had a chat about this very beauty fail to Allure recently and pointed out the risk of “bronzer mask”.
Bronzer mask (sounds awful we know) happens when you put bronzer ALL over your face instead of just where it catches the light (namely the apples of your cheeks and along the length of your nose).
If you feel this looks too matte which can easily happen, the professional MUA recommends adding highlighter on your Cupid’s bow and brows to avoid that “flat” look.
The above Clarins Bronzing & Blush Compact (€45) is ideal if you can’t make up your mind whether you want blush or bronzer while Catrice Sun Glow Mineral Bronzing Powder (€5.50) is bargain bronzer at its best.
Go forth and bronze.
