The five hard-to-find beauty brands you didn’t know were in M&S

Amy Nolan

Beauty enthusiasts rejoice, Marks and Spencer stock some makeup and skincare brands that can be tricky to get ahold of.

Usually, we’d pop into Marks on a focused sugar mission, running in to stock up on Percy Pigs, Chocolate Mini Bites or their freshly baked cookies, but have you ever hit it up for your favourite beauty products?

Yes, you might not know it, but M&S stock some pretty cool makeup and skincare brands that you’d typically have to buy online. From mid to high priced skincare brands such as Pixi, Alpha H and Emma Hardie to influencer favourite makeup brand, Stila, the high street chain has got a myriad of goodies to choose from.

Here are my top five beauty brands and some must-have products to take a look at when you next pop in for some Percy Pigs!

Pixi Glow Tonic – €23.50 (250ml), €15 (100ml)

You must have been living under a rock to have missed this cult product, but Pixi’s iconic Glow Tonic can be picked up in your local M&S. This wonder product, a personal fave of mine for years, is an exfoliating toner that is less abrasive on the skin than more traditional exfoliators with bead-like particles.

It improves skin’s tone and texture and helps give you that elusive glow. With a combination of both natural ingredients and five percent glycolic acid, this product seriously makes a difference to your skin.

Pixi has also expanded into a makeup range, so I might just have to do some investigative journalism on that one.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair – €70 (50ml)

If you’re a skincare aficionado, you’ll have heard of the brand Alpha-H and their award-winning Liquid Gold range.

This luxury brand is stocked in M&S and if you’ve got the budget to afford the pretty hefty price tag, you can pick up the brand’s signature 24 Hour Moisture Repair, a seriously scientific based product that, amongst other beneficial ingredients, contains flecks of 24 Carat Gold to help firm and brighten the skin…pure notions!

Emma Hardie Moringa Balm – €13.50 (15ml)

This cleansing balm is a Zoella favourite and will remove makeup and have your skin feeling silky smooth. It can also double as an overnight hydrating mask for dry skin types, so more bang for your buck.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – €45 (250ml)

This is a beautiful product that could help you achieve a much better night’s sleep.

If like me, you struggle to fall asleep, a liberal spritz of this gem over your bed linen might help you catch some elusive z’s. It’s a calming blend of essential oils like lavender and chamomile and, as research has shown that establishing a good bedtime routine will set you up for a better sleep, this could be a great new addition to your life.

Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation – €47 (30ml)

This is a beautiful foundation that builds to a medium coverage that looks natural and enhances skin’s luminosity. It is available in ten different shades and will leave you all glowed up! If you prefer more of a matte finish, Stila also does its Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer, a two-in-one product also available in Marks. It’s also a cruelty-free brand – yay!

So there you have it, your round-up of the best in beauty Marks has to offer – my apologies to your bank balance.
