What I'd buy if I lost my makeup bag and had to start over with the essentials

What would you buy if your makeup bag disappeared overnight? It's a scenario none of us want to imagine because we've built up quite the perfect collection of staples over the years, but we have been thinking of the items we'd replace a lot lately. Gone are the days when our makeup collections consisted of ten different mascaras, dozens of fluorescent eyeshadow palettes, a half dozen foundations (some that didn't even match our skin tones), and enough lipstick to last us a lifetime.
