Bye bye layers. Layers have been a popular hair trend for so long that it's difficult to imagine your hair without them. Ever since 'The Rachel' landed, the standard request when visiting your stylist is choppy layers but that could be about to change. Blunt cuts are big in Hollywood right now and some our favourite female actresses, including Julianne Moore are getting involved. Hairdresser to the stars, Marcus Francis, says "blunter and undone looks healthier and more enviable" and that's definitely a reason to get involved. Lena Dunham is also a fan, taking a photo of her friend actress Zoe Kazan's blunt ends.

The experts say this style is all about convenience and a blunt cut can up your ponytail game considerably. Speaking to Glamour, Khloe Kardashian's stylist, Cesar Ramirez said: "Minimal layering makes it easier to pull back into a ponytail or even a topknot". If you have super thick hair and need some layers in your life, then Marcus says you can use your stylist to "fine -point cut" it which will allow movement and texture without traditional layers.
