Explaining exactly what makes these salt shampoos so good, hair maestro Christophe Robin (who just so happens to have a Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt in his hair care range), told Refinery 29 that they act as natural detoxifiers for eliminating 'grease grime and product build-up. He went on to say:

"They help remove chemical residues left on the scalp, which can cause itchiness after a coloring treatment. More commonly, they also help to rebalance and soothe greasy, irritated scalps".
