The one thing you probably haven’t used to get rid of acne

In conversation with Refinery 29, dermatologist Francesca Fusco, MD, of Wexler Dermatology, gave this ingredient her seal of approval.

Of course, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic are two crucial must-haves for any product that will properly tackle spots and help get rid of them for good. It's not just Fusco either, the use of sandalwood oil treating skin conditions including acne is also used in traditional Chinese medicine practices and ancient Ayurvedic remedies. There are numerous products containing sandalwood available but if your acne is severe, you may want to discuss it with your GP or dermatologist beforehand. In addition to targeting your blemishes, sandalwood oil is soothing and calming which is why it's often used in aromatherapy. Treat your acne and chill at the same time, what's not to love?!
