The cheap and cheerful way to fix a streaky fake tan fail

We've got you, hun.

Cathy Donohue

Sorted.

Spending ages on your tan only to have it end up in unsightly streaks is a beauty fail I’m completely sick of.

I’m totally aware that it’s a first world problem but it’s still something that annoys me and plenty of others so after spotting a clever tip, I wanted to share it.

Spotted on FashionistaSinead Norenius, founder of Beautisol, recommended that the simple way to sort a fake tan mistake is to mix some lemon and baking soda together.

These are ingredients you probably have in your kitchen but if not, they won’t cost that much to purchase and you’ll get the use from them.

Apply it to the streaky patch, let it settle for a couple of minutes and the streaks in question will fade away in no time.

Use a cotton pad to soak up any residue and all evidence of said tan fail should be removed.

Of course, there are numerous ways to remove streaks such as exfoliating and even soaking in the bath but let’s face it, time is of the essence and this handy tip will sort you out in no time.

Go forth and tan…
