James Kaliardos, head honcho for NARS Cosmetics at the Rodarte Autumn Winter '16 show, says that lip-gloss is the best way to stop your matte lipstick from drying out.

Byrdie, the make-up artist said that you should apply a dab of lipgloss, right in the middle of your pout.
It stops your lips from sticking together and prevents that horrible dry feeling that can come about with a matte look.
The lipgloss also keeps them moisturised which is good news for anyone who suffers from dry chapped lips (ALL of us in this ridiculous weather).
Seeing as we have one (or five) lipglosses rattling around our handbags on a daily basis, this is one tip we might be able to manage.
