There is a new trick to make your nails look longer

Move over face contouring, there is new type of contouring taking the fashion world by storm, and it's on your nails. If you struggle to grow your nails then this might be the trick for you. People are now using nail varnish to contour their nails in a bid to make them appear longer. The effect consists of painting nail varnish on the centre of the nail only and leaving the sides clear. Manicurist Jin Soon Choi debuted the nail contouring technique at New York Fashion Week and it's sure to take off everywhere else.

Jin Soon Choi told Cosmopolitan:

"This is something I used to do when I was young. "When I was growing up, my friends and I wouldn’t extend the color to the sides of our nails to make our nails look more elongated."

She added:

"This look is not only cool and creates the illusion of longer nails, it's really easy to execute because all you need is the brush that comes with the polish.
