There’s A New Hair Trend Ruling Instagram And It’s VERY Pretty

The beauty industry is buzzing this season: from 'heart hair' to 'aquarium nails', there's a lot of trends to familiarise yourself with. Although brightly coloured rainbow locks have been around for a while, there's a new take on the trend and it's called opal. Put simply, opal is a subtle blend of the bright colours you'll see in rainbow hairstyles. Think muted pastel shades of purple, pink, blue and green and it's just so PRETTY.

"First, I lighten the hair to a pearl hue. Then, I layer on bright colors. The result is a washed-out version of the sand art look" said the hair colour expert.
